From your first visit to post-appointment care, learn what to expect when becoming a patient of Advanced Medicine of New York.
What To Expect
At Advanced Medicine of New York, I take a comprehensive, patient-centered approach, focusing on uncovering the root causes of your medical concerns. My goal is to understand your unique health story through both conventional and integrative methods, ensuring that your treatment plan is tailored specifically to your needs. I never overbook appointments, so I can devote my full attention to each patient.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. I respect your time and strive to ensure there's no wait. Unlike many offices, I don’t charge for no-shows—life happens. Just let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll reschedule.
During your 1.5-hour initial consultation, I’ll personally conduct your physical exam, review your medical history, and address your concerns. We’ll discuss diagnostic tests, and I’ll explain the rationale behind each one. Together, we’ll outline a treatment plan, and you’ll leave with a binder containing your medical information, updated after every visit.
Blood work will be drawn on-site and sent to a participating lab. If needed, I’ll refer you to state-of-the-art radiology facilities for additional testing.
I operate on a fee-for-service basis, allowing for ample time and personalized care. While I don’t participate in insurance plans or HMOs, I will provide a "super-bill" to submit for reimbursement, with the exception of Medicaid and Medicare.
I recommend that all patients maintain a relationship with a primary care doctor for emergencies, as I am not affiliated with a hospital. I’m happy to collaborate with your physician and provide referrals when needed.
I encourage open communication—feel free to call or email with non-urgent matters, and I’ll respond promptly. For more involved concerns, it’s best to schedule an appointment.
